Watch the pistons. Looks like someone was trying to overcome the 2 up 2 down with related dead spots.

Got a feeling this was more of a parlor trick… the piston throws are only 90 degrees apart so would need to be a straight 8 to maintain even firing, or somehow converted to a 2 stroke. Not likely a 2 stroke as the cam seems to operating #1 as a 4 stroke

The current thought on that list is the Broke Crank Club has a new member... I mentioned the 2 stroke idea, but to be effective you'd need a direct fuel injection system (like a detroit diesel) otherwise there would be a LOT of waste charge... also of course a correct cam...

I wonder if anyone has actually tried that? Doing a planar crankshaft, change the cam and cam gear and if so what the result was...

Valve timing is off on #3 & #4 cylinders so a broken crank is possible. I someone is experimenting with AI they didn't do their home work.
Would like to see the crank?
