Vaporizer Float Adjustment

I fired up my 26 coupe first time since 1984, it started right up. Only ran for a few moments as I have the radiator off. When I shut it down the carb was leaking. It has a Holley Vaporizer and I can't find out what the float level should be. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks

It's leaking because the float valve is stuck open from gunk. Cleaning is required, not a float height adjustment.
So, now to the question you asked: so long as the top of the float is parallel with the casting when the valve is closed, you're there. You can fiddle with making a gauge or measuring the distance from the top of the float to the underside of the casting (15/64" to 1/4"), but when you're done doing all that you will find that it is parallel to the casting. Just depends on how much work you wish to perform on the way to calling the job "done".
To the question you did NOT ask: your carb would most likely come with the float on the left, due to increased head pressure of the gasoline in the cowl tank. Having the correct float will help with drippy carb issues (when everything is clean). 30 year old goop is another story altogether.

Now the next big question is where can someone find the bigger float ?? I'd like to try it on my 26/27 NH.
