Looks like a humble hands of home made from a coil point.

It is a model T Ford ignition coil point, actually only a part of one of the two pieces that make up a set of points for a single coil. The model T originally had four coils, one for each cylinder. The one of two pieces has been cut about in half, and then cut to make a key for something. From the look of it, it might fit an after-market tool box, but that is just a wild guess. It could just as likely fit the china cabinet in the dining room?
Regardless, it is an unusual and very interesting repurposing of a common model T part! Not really worth much, but would be a great addition to any model T owner's collection of T paraphernalia.

You may be right! A ford coil point. It’s been made into some sort of key. Folks used this and that from Ford pieces and parts and this coil point is another one.

WOW guys, great eye!! I hadn’t even thought about that piece coming from a coil. Funny how vision changes when you see things from a different angle. Mind blown, for real!

Unsure Dave. I picked it up somewhere along the way, but just never really looked hard at it until today.

To me it looks a tool or towel box key of some sort.
Since it was part of a T point set I decided to check some boxes of old coils and points I’ve saved of the years. I didn’t see a Ford point set but Ford did make them. I found a bunch of unmarked and KW points though. There were millions of points made that weren’t Ford over the years. Ford probably stopped making them during the late 20’s but that’s a guess.
Interesting to find a Ford point made into a key though!

I use the same piece, minus the little spring leaf, on all my key rings. They are engraved with my cell phone number so the keys can be returned if I lose them.
Unfortunately it doesn't work when I mislay them at home!
