From what vehicle might those outsized headlights come?

In the rear fender a cute little dog. He’s part of the men club. it’s a cool picture. I can imagine these guys taking a whisky before coming home for the dinner. They look having fun.

The fellow with the little dog could be Cuthbert Maddox. Check the Kalamity Dick site for further investigations.

Re: Old Phot- An early Model T
Headlamps were optional on the '09s and early '10s (I think most if not all 1910), so almost anything could have been bought for the car after-market.
I am not any level of expert on brass lamps, but a couple of Ford factory offerings in '09 and '10 had large fronts on fairly small bodies (I don't know the makers or models off hand). So these may be factory offerings. As I recall, the forks for the headlamps were included on the car whether lamps were ordered or not.

Re: Old Phot- An early Model T
Thanks Wayne, that may explain the large 'reflectors' inside the doors. The lamp I posted for identification recently had that feature.

Re: Old Phot- An early Model T
I have some Victor gas lamps like that and I believe lamps with the additional reflector are called "double reflector". They do look larger but it may just be the additional silvered rim behind the glass.

Re: Old Phot- An early Model T
Those "double reflector" (?) headlamps were common on larger more expensive automobiles during that era. I have seen a fair number of them on '09/'10 Ts. I don't know offhand whether they were one of Ford's options or just after-market. Need to reread Bruce's book again.

Re: Old Phot- An early Model T
I've seen "converted" electric gas headlamps with the wide forward reflector - thought it might be part of a conversion kit ?

Re: Old Phot- An early Model T
Steve T, This is such a wonderful picture! If you zoom in on the full version, you can see the ceramic "Y"s for the acetylene. I think I can make out the knurling on the threaded stands for the "Y"s zoomed way in.
Must have been a larger format camera. Such incredible detail.

This lamp from an Esty add shows the detail better and how the reflector fits the door.

It’s a shame there is a wooden post blocking the view of the LH rear mudguard. It appears to be a bit of a bitsa
