Got some rust on my barn roof and I think I saw a while back someone was talking about putting some kind of rust stopper on their tin, was wondering what you used to treat? Thanks

I’m under the impression that rust is a reasonable subject when it comes to model Ts.
There is a cheap & easy option. Rustoleum has a product called Rust-Reformer I have found it works pretty well on rusty car parts. Never tried it on a barn roof but I do have some rust on my tach room.

Yeah but Steve, -all the smart people are on this Forum!!

Randall, I am not sure if you know about this, but Ryan who owns Fordbarn also owns a sister site called Garage Journal. Go to https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/ and see if that topic has been discussed. Those guys are just as passionate (-if not more) about their garages, vintage tools, and everything related to a garage as we are about Model-Ts/

Rustoleum rusty metal primer used to be good for that but you have to top coat it.
No sure how it is now. The way everything has been changed who knows what it in it now. Dan

P.S. Works good on Model T rust too. Now we are on topic.

Get rust converter stuff. Turns rusty metal into a primed metal but then gotta top coat.
