Is anyone using this mirror? It looks pretty good but I’m tired of throwing money away on stuff that doesn’t work. I figured I would ask.

In my opinion, they are the best mirror money can buy for a T.

I have them on two of my T’s and they are great!

I bought a mirrow and mount from Snyder’s. They have them that are heavily made and STEADY. The mounting is what makes it steady and it doesn’t vibarate or shake. It makes all the difference. The one that’s posted looks to be heavily made and that will make a difference in quality.

Gentlemen, I have looked in Snyder's, Lang's, and on eBay and am unable to find this model mirror. Everything I am coming up with is either stamped steel or will not work clamping on the windshield pillar. I have a C-cab and currently have clamp on mirrors that will NOT stay in place no matter how tight I get them.

A model number or manufacturer would help me a lot.

Installed one on my 1918 touring car. After years of frustration with a mirror from Lang's, this one worked fantastic! Stays in position and isn't vibrating so bad you can't see traffic behind you.

I have this mirror on 2 cars and am very pleased with them.

Been using that style in brass for years. Excellent in that they are steady. Only drawback is that a lock washer is required or the screw into the windshield post comes loose, requires finding a machine screw just 1/4 inch longer, not easy in brass.

The open windshield mirrow I bought for my 21 Touring is not stamped steel but a piece of 1/2” piece of steel rod that attaches to the windshield hinge bolts and does not clamp on. It’s rock solid and a really stable mirrow. It bolts on like the one pictured. If I remember I bought some longer slot head bolts to attach it. Snyder’s website says they are temporary out of stock on some models of their rear view mirrows

Well I’ll soon find out, I ordered it. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Don, I have two of the mirrors in question - Like you I've tried the clamp-on type and been unhappy with them. What I can say is that these shake the least of any mirror I've seen. I am very happy with them.

Get pair of those mirrors, they fit great on '26-'27 stanchions, two of them work well on the touring, after adding just a tad more length to the arm with a strap of steel, for clearing the windwings.

I have one with after market wind wings on it and a mirror will not fit. I fashioned a rod which mounts on the side of the post with a Harley Davidson mirror. This is on a 26 Roadster. Norm

These work really well! No more seeing 6 cars in the mirror when there is actually only one!

Could someone please post a link or something that points out the best available mirror on langs or snyders, like the one on this subject? I would like to buy 1 or 2 for my 22 touring and font know what one to get. I would like to see only 1 or 2 cars in the place of 6!

A mirror vibration damper would be nice.... Engineers?

I've emailed the guy who makes the mirrors in question and will report back if he replies. One listing I found says "Permanently Closed" so we may be out of luck. I also found this listing for an ebay store - worth a try. <https://www.ebay.com/str/antique-t-motor-sports-llc> If he did quit business perhaps an opportunity for another entrepreneur.

FWIW, a friend of mine made his own mirror mounts by splitting a piece of tubing that had an ID that conformed with the windshield, welding a piece of tapered piece of flat stock and a gusset to it and voila! A nice, firm, mirror mount. He's building a Depot Hack body so he made them a little longer.

If I were to build such mounts from scratch, I'd make the arms a little longer too. When I have the top up on my touring I don't have as clear a view using them as when the top is down. Of course, it was worse with the clamp-on types. They had even shorter arms. I compensate by having a Model A type mirror strapped to the spare tire which rides on the left hand running board.

I've attached a photo of my friend's home-made solution. They certainly were a lot cheaper than the ones under discussion.

Here’s the stable mirror mount I got from Snyder’s for my 21 Touring. These you buy the mirror separate. Snyder’s has mirrors also. I got their 5” mirror to match the one I already had. The one I had was the one that was in my Grandfathers Coupe I inherited. I’m glad I saved it when I did. I think of him when I see it on the car. These mirrors are excellent. You can actually see with them without the vibration.
First thing, before mounting.......... put a little effort into replacing the 3 Phillips screws with slotted!!!!

These are Bill Bohlin made mirrors. Available in polished aluminum, brass & black.

I would buy one, but Snyders says that the arm for the late Model Ts are out of stock. I don't know if Lang's mirrors are the same one.

I have to say I like it. Vibration is minimal and it looks right. It will look better after I change these Phillips head screws and paint the bolts. Very satisfied.
