So 2 days ago I put Clarabelle the '13 away for the day. Left barn open. I often help feed the neighbor gals Peahen mommy & her 3 babies. Mr. Hawk been hanging around for dinner also!
Fast forward 3 hours later, haven't seen the Peafowl. Locked up barn but I needed to go to the workbench to grab my volt tester. It was fairly dark in there and as I got close to the car I heard this noise. Mommy was clucking at me! Scared the crap out of me! Here it seems they sought shelter from the hawk. Look close at her wings...she's got the 2 smaller kids under them. Such a good mom. Yeh I had some cleaning to do!

What's that about a bird in hand in the front seat?

Old Fords are sanctuary cars. A very popular radiator cap ornament for the Model A was a Quail!

Hope you didn't use any fowl language around the kids!
I guess the Model T is where everyone goes to get away from the rigors of life!

I recommend you cover your T with a sheet for the winter instead of with peafowl's. Less cleanup in the spring.

Oh Clara spends her winters in a heated trailer in the barn! But otherwise good idea. Stanley the Fordor may or may not be in the barn on the lift in winter, and he's covered with sheets. I'm pulling his rear axle this late fall/early winter for repairs so not sure exactly where he'll even be. Decisions decisions. Sometimes he's in the house garage which never goes below 32. At any rate, the "poor Peafowl" ha ha, never get in the barn in the winter. They do have their own barn for that!
Thanks for the fun comments guys! They really are cool, I have quite an affection for them.

Tim,
You are truly a "Gentle Man." Don't be upset with those insensitive folks who may say you are-for-the-birds.
Way to go,
Don
