I'm curious to hear about peoples favorite trips in their T's. It could be one from states away or even 5 miles down the road. Pictures or not I think we would all enjoy the story.

If I have to narrow it down to just one trip, I suppose that would be driving to the 2018 Old Car Festival, then back home. I'll post three pictures from that trip.

There have been so many favorite parts of trips. A big one in my book is one many people would find tiresome and boring.

Few places in North America are truly flat, but east central Illinois is about as close as you can find. I crossed two counties without ever raising or lowering my throttle lever. It was mile after mile of corn and soy beans, soy beans and corn, occasionally punctuated by a farmstead or a crossroads. Beneath a brilliant blue September sky with little puffy white clouds, Henry's dependable little engine melted away the miles. It was magic, and I reveled in it.

Lithgow to the Glow Worm Tunnel is a great trip on a very rough dirt road. It gives the Model T chassis a great workout.

An added bonus is showing off the Model T's capabilities to the all the 4WDers who make the trip.

Up and down Pikes Peak on the ‘76 Glidden in my ‘23 T touring. Scarier than watching ‘The Exorcist’

Canyonlands tour in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. We roomed in Kanab Utah and one day drove all the way to Bryce Canyon and had lunch there. we toured around the rim of the canyon and took some short hikes. Next day to Cedar Breaks viewing from the east looking down. Next day went to Colorado City, a town inhabited by polgymus families. Some children wanted to ride in T's. I had a roadster so did not take any hitchhikers. One day we went to Zion national park. This canyon is viewed from the bottom. Took some hikes while there. Last day we drove to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We viewed from the top. While there we saw a rainbow looking down from the rim. I went to the car to get the camera but by the time I got back it was gone. I met Dean Yoder while on that tour. I also met others but he made an impression because he had driven the T all the way from his home.

That sounds awesome Norman! I think Steve Jelf's description of a quiet open road through a wide landscape whittles it down to the essence of my favorite trips.

I drove from San Diego to Minnesota once, but never again. The plains are so boring, they are Fly Over country. I did not even know when I had left Colorado and entered Kansas until I saw a sign "Dodge City".

Norm, fly-over country is topographically more subtle than some other places, but it has the advantage of hundreds of miles of great Model T roads. I can drive 50 or 60 miles from my house and meet one or two other vehicles. In fact, on some roads I consider that pretty heavy traffic.

Reading about these trips make me want to get my T on the road and go for a tour! Looks like fun!

Driving thru a ranch in TX Hill Country

It's not how many miles you go, it's how many smiles you show! 60 mile round trip is about as far as I have been in the Roadster. Short trips to surrounding towns and feed mill is always fun. The TT gets many short trips about 12 miles with friends and neighbors for icecream.

For me it's all of em! Here's just some the usual pics but older trips are archived on a thumb drive. Like when I did the Finger Lakes tour back in '16. Great tour as well as a Michigan jamboree I did. They're all good!

Adrian, that's great to see them used as a truck. Tim, I look forward to you next adventure.

No doubt Rich Eagle’s passing makes our earliest model T excursions stand out especially for me. Back in the fall of 1962 when I got my first basket case T running, after school I’d crank it up and head for Rich’s, where I’d find him and our mutual friend Matt working on the 1930 Model A Rich was restoring. After helping him cleaning the frame, or sanding on fenders for a while, we’d pile in the T and head for the A&W root beer stand, a surviving relic of the ‘20s where we’d get curb service and drink from heavy glass mugs, then take what Matt liked to call “the grand trek”, making a loop out to the rodeo grounds and adjoining park, then back home. It was our routine through that September and October, not long enough to get bored with it.

Over the past 60+ years Rich and I covered a lot of ground together, mostly in his Ts, and I could go on and on about our many adventures but this is plenty long enough as it is.

Driving home to Dearborn and back. Wish I could do the New York to Seattle or Plymouth Rock to Puget Sound, but I do not think that is going to happen.

Here's a link to a video of my most favourite trip ever. My son was along for the ride and made this video of our trip into the high mountain country. It features some spectacular scenery, great Model T roads and is a wonderful memory for me and the other friend's in T's that enjoyed it together.
