Very common 30 x 3.5 brass stem innertubes must be extremely difficult to manufacture (Not)? Done two early I projects in the last two years when this same common wear item could not be readily sourced.

So allegedly these shipped items cannot be pinpointed with a tracking number (as vendor claims)? If tracking is not possible or not practical (unlikely), then much appreciation if qualified someone would explain this.

An industrial approach would be to produce a list of common Model T spares (like these), and to then determine quantities of those items that are required to be inventoried by vendors as critical spares.

Are you talking about tracking the tubes to the supplier from the manufacture or from the supplier to you? Any supplier worth their salt will be sending you a tracking number when they ship to you and once you have that tracking number all you have to do is cut/paste or type it into your search box, then maybe pick the carrier they were sent by.
Or you could make your own brass stemmed tubes.

The tubes being offered today are not what they should be. I only use rubber stem tubes for my cars, because the brass stems they use today are not correct. I have to put the correct stems on my tubes, because the vendors can't do their job correctly!

Are you talking about quality Blockley tubes? If these are in short supply, there is an excellent Michelin alternative.

Didn't know these are hard to find? While looking for ( actually I was digging through boxes trying to remember where the heck I stashed all my
21" tubes ) I found 2 that I forgot I had. One Universal brass stem & one real heavy rubber stem marked made in EEC? They have been stored in
the A-C for all of the time I have had them & they show no signs of deterioration at the folds. I'm sure I can be persuaded to part with them. I also have some liners.

Thanks for this feedback gentlemen. The tubes sought are the current early brass stem style vs rubber. Was not aware that the current stems are not OEM correct?..I'm 4 restored cars into hearing this....but truly not surprised. Also aware that there are at least 2 different brass stem styles out there.

I have an order in place for these but the vendor has not received them from this supplier, hence my question about where they are in the pipeline to that supplier. I agree this information is the vendor's business, however they missed their published receipt date, impacting mine and multiple other end user's schedules.

I appreciate the offer Craig thank you, but need a brass stem set. These are for a friend's 16 that I'm helping out with.

Having had availability issues with these same ⁴parts before, I should have gotten ahead of this earlier. As Steve says, these tubes can be home built from parts, which is what I'll likely do if these remain delayed.

Scott, the tubes available do have correct OEM sized stems for a variety of cars, and there is a lot of hardware available to fit them. It is just that some purists would rather have the smaller diameter stems used by Ford.

The stem size does not bother me, even rubber ones, as Dill dust covers which screw onto the small valve cap thread will fit all stems, and they can be adjusted for length. Each to his own.
