I have a Millwaulkee two piece timerat is the same as a 1909-1910 Model T Ford two piece timer. A Ford cover fits. The rotor is the same. The only difference is that the Millwaukee time is 1/16 thicker. On the left is the remains of a Ford timer. Has any one also have one?

Has anmyone ever seen another one? This timer fits a 1909-10 front plate and works as the Ford two piece does. The Ford cover fits. I wonder if the Milwaukee Company made the Ford two piece timers.

Never seen one like that.
A few years later, I don't know exactly when or for how long? And much more along the lines of the typical common timers were know and love? Milwaukee (the company) made and sold a kind of two piece timer with the main body where the roller runs was made mostly of reddish Bakelite with the four electrical connections. There was then a stamped steel front cover held in place by the standard Ford metal arm bolted onto the timing gear cover.
I don't know how long this style was made before Milwaukee made the all one piece Bakelite body timer.
This thread about the early two-piece design and a possible connection to Milwaukee timers makes me wonder if that had something to do with the later Bakelite and steel cover timers made by Milwaukee?
Interesting stuff.

I did not remember that there was a thread 5 years ago about the two piece Milwaukee timer. Since then I bought a Ford cover for mine. Mine is as found does not show any or very little wear.

I have two pieces that look good, but I'm missing a rotor.
One contact is missing.
The insulator looks gook but seems 3/16th inch thicker than it should be.
Were there ever rebuild kits sold for these Timers?
The brass cover has a nice patch job on it.
