It seems to me it was $25 including shipping (for the one on the circuit board.) I could be wrong. Regardless, if you have an extra one you want to sell I'm interested.

Mine are the "do it yourself" kit form - not assembled as in the photo you posted.

The individual components don't add up to much $$ - the problem would be shipping charges if you were trying to purchase a single diode, socket, bulb, etc. If I end up making a unit for myself I might make a circuit board or simply mount them to a thin piece of nylon sheet.
It Does work.

My puny income told me to make it myself. I already had plenty of wire.
Some of what I needed came from the local O'Reilly.

On my 13 Canadian T I am running a Trufire ignition, a Seadoo battery and just a diode for just over 20 years with no problems!

Is there a big call for these things? I have one and could easily make them, I just didn't think there was a big demand for them...

There should be more of a call than there is, or has been. For years we have been reading discussions of batteries in hand-start cars where people describe subjecting themselves to the inconvenience involved in some ways of keeping batteries charged. I'm lazy enough to put in a charger so I don't have to bother with recharging.

Jeff, I would be interested in buying one if you could make one similar to the Fun Projects one shown in an earlier post. Right now I have to crawl under our 1911 to occasionally charge the battery that I use that is similar to one that Steve showed in his posting. Even though I normally start with it on the Mag setting, it is still nice to have the battery option.

Neal, you can make it yourself. If an electronic dummy like me can do it...

I imagine that I could Steve, but I really like now nice one that Fun Projects used to make looks. Within reason, I'd rather pay someone to make a nice one than make one myself!
