Can’t find the thread but seems like a year or 2 ago someone shared that a group of folks were designing and in the process of making new balanced crankshafts (not Scat). Does anyone know who & what happen to the project. Best John

I can't reveal the name; however, the project is moving along. Slowly, but still moving along none the less.

At least Dubatt's crank would fit with out cutting the horse shoe!

I put in a standard stroke balanced Skat crankshaft in my 26. Didn't have to cut or modify anything. I have the 4 dip inspection plate on the 26. Don't know how it would work with the 3 dip crankcase.

Norm, your car runs very well! Teresa and I thank you for the ride this summer.

I’ve had a scat crankshaft on my ‘24 touring with a 3-dip pan since July 2023. 3100+ miles with no issues.

I installed a scat counter balanced stroked crank in my barn fresh 1912 touring. It was sweet running nearly vibration free and ran with the wind. Scat cranks are the best aftermarket part I have ever purchased.
just sayin'

Will it be a cast or a forged crank?

Jerry it’s a cast crankshaft. I’m a big fan of Scat, the issue is supply. We have 3 on back order which we just found out that the delivery is some time early next year. I bet it really puts a crimp on business’s trying to rebuild engines for customers.
