Hi Folks,

I am looking for the drain valve for a Kingston L4 on my 1925 Model T. Cant find it anywhere. Mine was leaking gas so I want to replace it.

Any Ideas?

TIA

Soak and clean drain valve and body in carburetor cleaner, then use crocus cloth on mating surfaces of the seat and valve to obtain seal when assembled.

Is it a center drain or offset in the bowl drain?
Offset may be leaking at joint with the bowl.

Thanks for the idea! What grit crocus cloth should be used?

It is the offset drain and it was leaking at the joint with the bowl and also was passing when fully closed. I tested it by pumping air in it using a vacuum pump in blow mode and dipping it in a bowl of water.... made some bubbly!

Do not use crocus cloth. Clean the brass. Tighten & tap if necessary to ensure a good seat.
May not need that treatment. If its similar to the offset NH drain, the solder has come loose. De-solder the drain body from the steel bowl, cleane real good & re-solder.
