Now thats a peculiar little runabout in the 6th photo. I’ve seen those windshield-to-runningboard braces before can’t figure out their purpose. The fenders appear to be ‘15-‘16 but the T sports a sheet metal radiator shell. Love them Firestone 5 lug demountables tho.

I believe those accessory braces assist in reinforcing the early original, flexing running board braces !

Last picture:
There was a bridge just like that one in service until about 20 years ago on a county road in Shackelford County, Texas. It may be that very one. The surrounding terrain looks similar. The bridge may still be there, since they they routed the road along side it when it was closed to traffic. There is an online photo archive on line featuring many early Texas bridges. I think its called Bridges of Texas. The man in the picture sure looks like Clyde Barrow.

Those braces were to accommodate Ford Sitters and Women of Size.

And that last photo has the ubiquitous homemade luggage rack for those indigents that can’t afford the $1.89 store-bought accordion type rack

The first photo of the cut down 24 or 25 Coupe is interesting for sure. It was about used up when he got it so he made it into a campaign car!
I had to look twice to see what it was! Probably the first time I’ve seen a Coupe made into a Roadster or convertible or running around about!! Don’t see many of those for sure. Thanks for a “rare” photo!!

I used to have a '28 A coupe body that had been similarly treated.

Number 4 looks like the car was a few years old by then. The woman's dress, shoes and sweater look like late 30's Maybe early 40's Number 9 looks like horses were still useful at that time.

Number 7 is fantastic- a three year old ‘13 with electrified lamps and a matching set of khaki summer seat covers, top boot and even interior panels. Plus a spare, rear view mirror and tool box. The man liked his accessories.

Whoa - what’s that thing on a wire attached to the steering wheel rim - a horn button?

On that car with the windscreen to running board support bar, I'd say it was bit too late. The outer edge of the running board and the fender are already cracked. The support bar is likely a last ditch attempt to prop up the step up into the car.

Number 6 has the strap on the front windshield to the fender/running board. The top is also not properly set in the proper position for having the top down. This leaves only way in is to climb over. Odd :?:
