1914 seat tack strip
Can anyone help me in the correct placement of the tacks on the hideum welt tack strip of my seats. The instructions say one inch, but I've seen pictures of original cars and it looks like three inches. I just want to make sure before I start poking in the tacks.

You are correct. From the factory the upholstery nails should be spaced about 2-1/2 to 3" apart. Lay them out, maybe make a chalk mark to eyeball their placement.
