hi there guys can i ask about the coming luray ford model t swamp meet .l hear very good things about this swamp meet can i ask is there many early cars there for sale would there be many parts there early stuff like 1910to 1914 , do the venders set up on the thursday ? are you aloud to go in there when the venders are seting up thanks also cani ask is there a lot off venders there

Thank you for asking about Mid Atlantic Pre War Swap Meet ( Luray) . Last year we had 84 vendors and 75 % of those are primarily Model T and Model A Ford. Many Model T parts are available and usually early Ford T parts are there. Brass era car parts are well represented. Usually we have several nice cars available. I remember a 1910 , 1912 , 1915, and 1916 Model T’s offered for sale in the past as well as later makes and models. We do setup on Thursday afternoon and allow the general public to walk around during setup. The busiest day is Friday in the morning but deals can be made the whole weekend. We also hold a 3 Day Model T tour Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with 50 cars on tour. So you will see a lot of T action the whole weekend. Hope you plan on coming you will not be disappointed.

I went last year, on the tour also. It's a nice swap meet with a good selection of T stuff. More than you see at a lot of meets.

Andrew, It is a great swap meet but to travel the distance to see what is there and in four hours you have already walked it three times, If there is some thing you are looking for I would be glad to pick it up and haul it back to Hershey. Thanks Joe

My friend and I have signed up for two spaces again.

You will not find a parts meet with more than the most Model T and Model A parts any place.

My friend sold a very nice 1916 Touring there in 2023.

We spent five days at the Fall Hershey and sold more at Luray in three days there.

It came back in 2024 and did the tour.

Dan was right behind his black trailer and one spot to the left.

I have the red hat.

This swap meet is fairly small but should be on every Ford model T and A lover's calendar. I have three spaces this coming spring and hope to see a big crowd!

While I have never been to Hershey, nor Luray, and in fact have never experienced any swap meets since Calif/1991 (but neither having anything regionally similar in GA compared to CA), is 80 some odd vendor spaces considered a large meet nowadays?
In comparison two of my favorite swap meets in the 80's was the recently discussed Turlock Calif meet, but also the one in Pleasanton CA. The Pleasanton Fair Grounds had(s) 750 vendor spaces, which, were always 100% filled, and took a good day to go thru, offered several times per year.. Now granted, neither were they focused solely on Model T, but were antique/classic meets nonetheless.

The question in my mind being, are Hersheys and Luray the biggest games in town on the east coast (compared to a 700+ space regional swap meet)??

And no, not that I know, or have yet researched regional event offerings only having gotten back into a T & A in the past couple years...Just curious. But, are there any other large meets (east/south) of worthy note to consider?

Hey Dan, ya, I've started to do that, but, lists are one thing, personal opinions/insight are another. Being in Florida there's not much going on, other than the monthly at Sumter, or the bi-annual antique tractor/flywheelers. GA of course has Moultrie, nothing much than small taters in 'Bama, there's quite a few regionals in Ohio...
Question better phrased I guess is, for the Model T& A owner, is Moultrie, Luray, and Hersheys, being the 3 most noted east coast meets, the only ones worth considering?
