Rear main adjusting with a 3 dip pan

Post by Bruce Compton » Sat Jun 22, 2019 11:52 pm

I'm thinking about taking some main shims out and was wondering if there are any tricks to get at the rear main cap in my '21 with a 3 dip pan. I've done this many times, but always had a 4 dip pan. Thank's : Bruce

I've taken a shim out of the 4th rod but don't think you can access the rear main. The rod was tricky enough and I have good hands for tight work. Make sure you stuff plenty of numbered rags in if you go there!!

Like Bruce has posted, hard enough just to do #4 rod let alone take 2 fly wheel bolts out to drop the cap, and re-wire etc,
maybe some has done it, would sure like to know if possible.
