I would say, from my vendor viewpoint, that Duncan 2025 is a success. Great vending environment for the PreWar crowd. We were all located close and the layout was perfect for us. On clean concrete, close to bathrooms, good lighting, easy access for loading and unloading. Very good food concession by the local high school band kids and teachers. Just an all around positive and encouraging experience for the prewar hobby. Found a few very rare items I could not pass on and yes my buddy and I had great sales on Thursday and Friday. Did not sell every single item but I have have no matter where I go!! Thanks to Kevin and the Duncan Swap Meet Team! Reserved our spaces for next year!!!

Having been to Chickasha for as long as i can remember, i am thankful that Duncan has picked up the pre-war section. our group did very well, with most everything we brought sold out by end of the day Friday. we had rebuilt coils, some carbs, license plates, literature, and other miscellaneous. we'll be back next year! it was great to see everyone there.

We made it home. We did very well at the swap meet. Sold lots of stuff. Bought or traded for lots of stuff. We think it was a success. Saw a large portion of the old Chickasha crowd. Also, there was some new vendors I've never seen before. Kevin and the whole Duncan crew were very helpful, friendly, and prompt to remedy any issues. Found some nice items from the after WW2 crowd. There will still be little changes that will need to be made to organize the pre war area but overall it's is really pretty darn good for the first year. They are building on a new addition to the open side/covered section, so The will be different options for next year. The outside vendors were kinda scattered. A lot of them said they probably will move into the covered or closed section next year. That will get more of the pre war guys bunched together. The covered section is something that was not available at Chickasha. The way the weather is so unpredictable in that part of Oklahoma in the springtime. The covered section is a great upgrade to being just out in the open. We reserved our four spaces for next year. My wife likes Duncan better than Chickasha, I like venue better than Chickasha, and lots of people that we talked to like it better. So in our opinion Duncan was a success and should only get better. I'll try to get all my photos posted in another post in a couple days. I also suggest to make plans for next year.

Having only been to Chickasha the last 4 years, I didn't know what to expect. This year I was not able to get off work Thursday/Friday like I did at Chickasha previously, and those of you that remember, Chickasha was usually a ghost town by Saturday. At Duncan going Saturday only (opening till noon) I was still able to buy a lot of really good stuff I was looking for! That would be unheard of at Chickasha on a Saturday. Now I did hear a lot of people sold out and left Friday and I expected that to happen, the early bird gets the worm! I will be back next year. Hopefully I can get off work Thursday/Friday, but at least I now know that if I can't it will still be worth the trip Saturday morning unlike at Chickasha. Overall Duncan was great and looking forward to next year!

Just made it home too! As a vendor and Model T enthusiast I greatly enjoyed the Duncan swap meet. Did financially real well but only sold 1 of 7 fenders. The people though were wonderful. I spent a great deal of time with our Gene French and got to know him better - and liked what I knew. The Temple family from Jackson MS along with our John Tannehill made the trip worthwhile. Guess you could say that; like a T tour, the people make it enjoyable…

i made it home Sunday morning ... a safe and uneventful return trip ... stopped in Guymon ,Ok. to sleep a few hours then back on the road ... did have a light dusting of snow in the Ok. panhandle , but clear roads all the way to northern Colorado ... this was a GREAT swapmeet and enjoyed visiting with many of our regular model T folks and many new meet attendees ... overall a very enjoyable and productive trip ...
i have reserved my "regular" 4 spaces in building "A" and plan on making this a regular , yearly pilgrimage to Oklahoma as was our regular trip to Chickasha ... the meet was very well organized and hosted with excellent access to the buildings for vendors and clean , convenient restrooms and showers ... there were many interesting parts available for sale , and a few cars and projects, Matt Temple had a new " non-Scat" cast crankshaft on display and indicated that he had installed 3 of these crankshafts for customers ... this looks to be a very well made and a well-engineered product ... there were many used and reconditioned items available including several Ricardo high compression cylinder heads , a RAJO 8 valve project that i purchased , re-babbitted connecting rods and ballcaps , dropped axels , auxiliary brake sets , Tom VanMettern had his automotive electric/ignition parts onsite and is a vast source of auto electric knowledge ...while most of the parts were Model T , there was other makes represented as well ... the general swapmeet brought in a reasonable number of lookers and included some interesting projects ... i would have spent more time eyeballing the 1947 Ford pickup if it had a flathead 6 and 4 speed instead of late v-8 and auto. trans , but it did get my attention ...
overall this was a great 1st. " pre1948" meet ( 19th general swapmeet ) , and i thank Kevin Hammock and crew for their effort ... i recommend this event to our Model T Ford Club of America membership and all other car enthusiast ...
i had packed my digital camera with other items and did not find it again till Saturday morning and did not take pictures ... hopefully others did take pictures and will be posting them here ...ALSO , i should mention that this was a full 3 day event with vendor access Thursday morning and active swapmeet traffic thru mid-day Saturday ... NOT a 1 day meet ! thank you again Kevin ... i salute you and your team ...a JOB WELL DONE ! always an optimist Gene French

Four of us from the Tin Lizzies of Albuquerque made it to Duncan. We had four spaces in building C that turned out to be well-located as it was closer to the center of the fairground buildings. We didn't know what to expect on this, the first year of the Pre-war section at Duncan but we were pleasantly surprised that the Stephens County Fairgrounds had good facilities and the event was well-organized. Sales at my booth were good and might have been better if I had stayed later into the afternoon on Saturday. The local high school band provided food as a fundraiser and it added a nice sense of the local community. The kids were enthusiastic and the food was well-prepared and reasonably priced.

It was definitely nice to see and to talk to folks that we don't see very often like Mike Bender, Mike Vaughn, Gene French, Bill Devine & family (Birdhaven), John Tannehill and others. We could see that this venue has the potential to grow and capture some of the magic that used to be Chickasha. For next year, we reserved the same four spaces plus two on the exterior on the other side of our wall. Our plan is to bring more things to sell in 2026 and, hopefully, see more items that we'd want to buy. One suggestion for next year's attendees - if you could please wear a name badge it would be helpful as we see names of Model T folks on the Forum but can't always associate the name with the people that we see.
