I have a set of small drum Rocky mountain brakes and was wondering if I could use them on a large drum rear end. If so, are there any parts I would need or could I just use the original large drums?

Thank you,

Adam

No.

Small drum Rocky Mountain brakes will not fit on a large drum axle.

The diameter of the special drum used for the small drum brakes are a different outer diameter than the Ford large drum brake drum.

Also, the Rocky Mountain mounting brackets are different for the small drum and large drum due to the different style radius rods used on the two different axles.

The so called Rocky Mountain brakes, are not really that! They were patterned after a 1926 AC brake. I know. I was there.
