Test fitting my progress.

Nothing ever fits the first time. Fitting the floorboards and back seat area.
Battery access lid. The lid is 12 1/2 inches wide. The area it needs to fit is 12 1/4 inches wide.
When I got the body in pieces from a friend of mine, there was no battery access lid. I found one in his shop that was the same patina at the wood in the body but he wasn’t sure if it was from that body.
Using it will require removal of 3/16ths from two sides
Once that piece is fitted temporarily, I can remove the sills, add the remaining fixed floor crossmember, and add the strip that goes under the floor parallel to the frame that will support the remainder of the rear floor.
Then I can move on to adding the rocker panels and hinge/lock pillars, plus the pillars coupe and cowling. For the body, minus the cowl, the first sheet metal to attach is the rockers as the other lower body panels overlap them.
