Starter Foot switch

What is the thread size on the starter switch posts?... Thanks in advance.

Starter Terminal nut size is 3/8" x 16

Commonly known as 3/8" UNC here. Interchangeable with 3/8" Whitworth.

I use just a brass nut BUT hold the cable as you would at the starter post - you don't want the stud to turn !

Originally, like the starter motor terminal, First nut on the insulator is brass. The nut holding the cable is copper plated steel.

A thinned down wrench to hold the nut next to the starter switch mounting plate means you can hold that nut in place when wrenching on the cable retaining nut. That way you will not be turning the stud bolt in the switch.

The same applies to starter and generator terminals.
