I am looking for some background information on a gentleman named David Howell. I understand he has passed away, RIP. He put together a model T that has gone to a person that I am buying it from. Just want to find out if someone knew him and what sort of quality restorations he performed. This is not meant as an insult or critism to him, I never knew him or even where he lived and how deep was he involved in the model T hobby.
Thank you all for any and all information.
Frank

There surely is more than one DAVID HOWELL in the U.S., so this information is about as useful as finding a needle in a haystack. If my memory serves me correctly, there was a DAVID HOWELL associated with HOWELL'S SHEET METAL. The business started out in Houston, TX in the late 1960's, before moving to Beaumont, TX. where it is located, now. I think it is unlikely that he is the gent that you are looking for. I worked for a business located directly across the street from Howell's Sheet Metal when it was still in Houston.
