OHV question - oil pressure to rocker arms?

OK, I am used to running with the oil-soaked felt pad in the valve cover with my iron Rajo head, but as I am setting up my new (to me) iron Roof 8 head, I am considering routing some of the oil pressure up there. At the business end of things, I know that one runs pressure to a hollow rocker arm shaft, with an outlet at each rocker arm bushing. The pressure to shaft can be a fitting at the center of the shaft, or one could go through one of the rocker towers, kind of like running into a main bearing cap on the crankshaft. All of this seems fairly straightforward, so far.
What I can’t figure out is how to get a pressure line to inside the valve cover. Running a line through the side of the valve cover itself seems less than optimal. I know that this has been solved plenty of times by craftier folks than me, how did y’all do it?
Keep crankin’,
Eric

Hi Eric,
On a T-Go head there are two holes tapped to 1/8" pipe, one on the side of the head & one inside the valve cover. A 1/8 ID copper line is used
with two compression fittings. The feral boss is drilled out just enough for the copper line to pass through but not the feral. a length of tubing
is pushed through one fitting then carefully bent in a 90 degree, pushed through the hole on side of the head up into the threaded hole inside
the valve cover area & the other fitting slid over it & treaded into the block. Then the ferals & nuts are installed & tightened. The tubing goes
through the water cavity & leaves tubing to install a compression fittings to on the outside of the head & inside valve cover. It is probably a good
idea to install a needle valve to control the amount of oil going to the rocker arms so it does not fill the tappet valley & run out the throttle
holes.
Craig.

Both Roof and Frontys I have done the same way fundamentally…. Make a spacer 1/2’ thick. You can then drill and tap a 1/16 pipe thread oil line fittings Sent you a text
Shown is my Fronty set up

Mike,
That is entirely too beautiful.
Those Fronty rocker arms are exquisite!

Mine are pressurised via the rocker cover hold down stud. Stands are in steel and clamp onto the shaft so shafts can be used for oil ways.
