I will be going there after the Speedster Rally in Rockville, IN. You will have lots of time to tour the museum during the Reunion, but getting there a day early will give you time to really see it.

Are you still planning on camping between Indiana and Nebraska?

If I go this year it will be as crew chief of the Sherman racing team in support of the fastest flathead T ever to run at Long Beach by Jerry Sherman, sr. His son Jerry jr. will pilot the car at Lincoln. Our own team was very much encouraged not to bring the Wild Cherry II back there. As the first T to prevail there it caused a lot of angst. The awards ceremony was delayed a bit because it never occurred to the club whose name includes
“Ford A” that they would be beaten by a T powered car and they had to get an special trophy for a King of the Hill. Anyway, we never take the WC2 back to an event it has already won, but we will be back in 2027 with our Gallivan/Rajo DOHC model T racer and nobody will be able to whine about the automatic transmission. Rock crusher 4 speed in this one.

I returned to a disaster here and am working to put the car in order. It's unknown if I will have the T running, a tow vehicle or light enough trailer. I will most likely need every day to get ready. As such I won't have the time to make Indiana. From TN I'm looking at a 12 hour drive so we will probably just crash in the car overnight. Once there we have reservations and will be camping at campaway.

Nor Cal, you are welcome to be a part of our crew. Details are not clear about this year but when our own race team comes in 2027 with the DO model T you can be a part of it. We will take the game to the model A boys again. I expect them to be ready this time.

Tried to post a pic of the race car but it’s easier to spank model A’s with a model T than to post pics here.

Trying to get loaded today, will drive thru the night to get there Wednesday. The list of things not finished is long and it's raining again. It's a mud pit here trying to sort and load.

Mike,
You forgot to state that the day of the tour and the hill climb it was about 103 degrees out.

The first day involved a tour to a nursing home, a national park where the first Homestead in the US is located, a country club for lunch, a barn made without nails and walls made of carved limestone, and lastly a stop at the University of Nebraska for ice cream. I had sweet corn ice cream.

The second day was a hill climb that started early in the morning, approx 8AM and continued until about 3PM.

The third day was testing on a dynamometer, but I went to an auction instead and missed it. The banquet food this nite was the best I have ever had.

What a fantastic time we had put on by the folks at the Museum of Speed. A first rate operation that everyone should put on their bucket list.

Some of the cars that participated were just plain old Model T's. They were not speedsters.

Photo of Rob's Model K, Model N, Model F, and Model B lined up for display at the museum.

Also the car that represents the 10,000,000 car produced, that Mike and Mike drove from New York to San Francisco on the Lincoln Highway last year. I believe this was the 4th time this particular car has made the trip.

Don't forget about the wind, the climb was stopped at the end as it got too windy.
