Alf's car looks like it is a 1915 Canadian factory built car. The body, apart from the paint colour, the windscreen, the flat fenders and fork mounted electric headlights are all in accord. Then it has been updated with a new factory black hood and low radiator.

Usually see the running board front support rod on a photo of that angle, maybe missing.

Why is the door on the drivers side? I have a 26 USA car and even though it has a door on the drivers side, it is almost impossible to get in or out because one must get the feet around the parking brake lever while knees under the steering and the buttocks over the door post. The earlier USA cars did not have a door on the drivers side.

I think the fore door on the driver's side of the USA cars was to let the cat out.

Norman, the Canadian produced cars were made for RHD and LHD markets, so both front doors operated. It is a squeeze to get in past the handbrake, but it can be done.
