Hi fellas I have this very interesting magneto convertion
Made in Australia
It is a complete unit
Has all grease points , external oiler
All gears in great condition
Magneto is an eisemann
I have recharged the magnets and wow it cracks a nice spark
So I’m thinking of selling and wondering what this is worth
I see a conversion on eBay.com where it mounts where generator goes but that’s a pain
This is in great condition
Any help would be appreciated

Interesting and nice looking unit! I have never seen an Australian built one before. While Bosch magnetos are more common, and favored by many because they are familiar with them, I have known several people that much prefer the Eisemann mags claiming they were better. Frankly, I do not know myself as I have never run an Eisemann. I do like the Bosch DU4 as I have run a couple of them over the years.

Similar USA made drives with mag in good shape seem to sell for around 400 to 800 USD depending on how nice they are.

Being a different make drive unit could be a deterrent. Gears are made new for a couple of the more common USA drives. Although pricey, available is better than custom made if a gear became damaged and had to be replaced.

Don't know if any of that helps you or not.
