When my 15 Tourer is in the garage I like to turn off the gas at the tank, but this involves crawling under the car. I am looking for some way of making a remote lever that will do it for me. Has anyone done this? Looking for ideas.
Regards
Colin

Re: Remote turn off of gas tank.
Colin,
The best way would be to install an inline shut off valve in the fuel line, close to the fuel inlet on the carburetor. If you want to shutoff the fuel, you only have to open the hood and turn the handle. The vendors sell several different types including one that’s cast brass that looks very original once installed.

Colin,
Drop down this forum a short ways looking for "Jelfified" OR look up posts by Mr. Jelf. He has several on installing a remote operating lever for the shut off. He also has a web site with the procedure on it.
Good Luck,
Terry
