Fuzzy gap OK?

The fuzzy guide for the door window glass (26-7 Coupe) is clipped into position but it does not reach the top.
Do I need to drill out the rivets and start over?

You need to do it all the way to the top.
The glass channel is held in place by clips that hook into slots in the door at the top, bottom, and somewhere in the middle. Hooks are riveted to the channel.

The gap may allow annoying wind noise when on the road with windows up. It could also admit dust, rain, cold air, and even dirt daubers. I'd want to figure out why the gap is there and correct it.

There are no middle or lower clips with these fuzzies, only at the top. So, looks like I need to remake these.

You need to buy the clips seperatly and rivet them on.

So, I went back to the garage to deliver new door window glass and while there, took my screwdriver (outlined in blue for clarity) to push back the rubber top and revealed another clip up higher than the ridge. I have never seen a photo of this online. Moving the fuzzies to this new location, the problem is resolved at the top. Glad I did not cut the fuzzy for length yet.

Today's replacement are hardbacked fuzzies, originals were able to be stretched and hooked at the bottom. On my 29 CCPU (same type door) I glued the back to prevent the fuzzy from coming loose later.

My kit came with glue and i will probably use it. The glass was cut 1/4" less from front to rear (25-1/4") due to the hardback fuzzies. I also considered a screw but don't want it to come in contact with the glass sliding up and down. This morning I got the passenger door window in and the hooks attached to the top. It takes a lot of strength to slide those fuzzies in the channel with the glass installed.
