Depot Hack Seats – Build or Buy?

Wondering if anyone has found or built custom depot-hack seats?

I have a Pleasantville body on my 1926 Depot Hack that came with a single seat; I’m looking to add two jumper seats and a rear bench like in the attached photos. Ideally the upholstery would be tan. We (My Dad and I) can do basic blacksmithing and could fabricate wrought-iron parts, but curious if pre-made kits or carriage suppliers exist.

Any tips on where to buy seats, upholstery recommendations, or build advice would be appreciated. I’ll be at Hershey — happy to meet up there to look at examples or discuss in person.

Thanks!

My hack came with recently made seats in place when I bought it. Can't help exactly as I don't believe there is a single known source for what you want but can share what the previous owner told me as the seats were perfect...

He tied up with the guy in his area that redid the local diner seats every couple of years. Discussed the height and firmness...the owner cut the plywood base to size and dropped it off....a week later he took the finished product home and plopped them in place screwing through his side runners into the plywood from below.

An alternative might be to find a marina anywhere nearby if possible and ask who is their recommendation for upholstery fix and repair? Will also be a local guy who is use to tucking corners and tugging here and there to make great looking replacements.

Good luck

You might contact Dave Currier, he makes many T wood bodies and could perhaps built you seats.
