What pins are used for a 1914 turtle deck lid hinge? Is it a clevis or just a roll pin?

It basically looks like a long rivet, or a typical hinge pin.

Here you are Art. Like Jerry said. The elongated ‘rivet’ appears about 1/8” from both sides of the hinge - with the pin evidently being inserted from the left and right side.

I think you could make one from a long bolt of the correct diameter. Determine the correct diameter and length, then get a couple of long bolts in that diameter. Grind or file the bolt heads to a dome shape, then cut the shank to length. Tractor Supply usually has a good selection of bolts, including the black finish ones.

The only place I had not looked for the pins was in a box I knew was in the front V section of my enclosed trailer where the body had once been stored. The trailer has been loaded all summer with insulation for my polebarn preventing access. I guess it was time to empty the trailer anyway. TA DA!! I found them in a bag along with the door hinge pins right where I had left them. In case anyone wants to know the pins are 13/64 X 2" wIth a slightly domed head. Thanks for the responses. Art
