($ 31,968.00 in today’s mini-dollars. You could possibly buy an ‘09 for that these days.)

That's a great run for the conditions of that time.

In 1910, there was no income tax or "Social Security" tax. Banks paid interest on deposits. You owned your income. The roads, such as they were, were open to the public, with no requirement that you purchase an insurance company's product in order to use the public right of way. The U.S. dollar was fairly stable... and the prices of Ford cars was DE-flating at a steep rate!

Single lever three pedal. Not really early. I cannot tell for sure, but I cannot see the butterfly brackets under the rear fender, dark enough though that they could be there.

Any 1909/'10 experts that can narrow the timeline down better?

Did people ever use home-brew anti leak goop in tires back then? Maybe goat milk and black pepper, or oatmeal, or belly button lint? Some home-brew radiator anti-leak goops were widely known.

I’ve never heard of such. You can pour “stuff” in a radiator, not so easy to do it with a flat tire.

I’m willing to bet this doughty example didn’t count flat tires as a “hitch” in that 4,200 miles !

Wayne, I’m not an expert but the only things that I can see that makes me think early 09 are the LARGE E&J sidelights & the horn with the clip on cover however the height of the door handles look higher than my 09 plus a Jno Brown carbide generator so there is that.

I’d say that’s a popular misconception. 65 years with horses of my own, rarely lost a shoe . . . if one comes off, the nails are almost always with the shoe because of the crimp. I’m sure there were plenty of road hazards then as now to cause a flat, but imagining the roads were graveled edge to edge with horseshoe nails is just plain silly.
