How to remove outside oil line

I have a 27 chassis with rebuilt engine and transmission. The entire car will be stock and is turning out a lot nicer than I anticipated, so I'd like to show it for a while before driving the wheels off it. This project was started 14 years ago and I'm bound and determined to have the car at Hershey this year, at least to have it there if not show it.

When the engine was done, the builder installed an accessory oil line from the mag to the front main. I know the benefits and reason behind it, so I'm not ignorant to those things. However, to a person like me, an add on like this might as well be a chopped top or a Pinto engine. Because of that, this one thing has been driving me nuts ever since we picked it up. I'd like to remove it but need to know if I'm just going to need a replacement bolt at the bearing or if something inside needs changed as well. Also, can I get one bolt, or am I going up have to buy the whole kit just for that one piece?

Thanks,
Craig

You will only have to remove the front oil inlet and replace it with a bolt, then replace the magneto terminal with a stock "non-oiler" type.

Or if your outside oil line is one of the High volume types, feeding from a hole in your hogshead, you'll have to replace the hogshead.

Ooops, I should have read his post more carefully.
