Aftermarket oil filler

This came with something else I bought and the seller told me it was a repro of a Rajo oil filler. I have not seen one like it in the Rajo materials I have looked at. It was a rough casting when I got it with minimal (pretty poor) machining. I have been tinkering with it and need to make a lid for it if I am going to use it on my speedster. The one it came with was some sort of off the shelf cover (maybe for plumbing?) that didn’t fit or look like anything period. Has anyone seen (or have) a period piece like this? If you have, I would love to know what it was and see some pictures.

The gray stuff on the bottom is JB weld that is going to be machined off to install a better fitting piece to go in the oil filler hole.

This one is a more common accessory oil filler.

And a couple more on this older post : https://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/1 ... 19805.html

That looks like a good candidate. It looks like there was a flat spring that held the lid down that has snapped off. The cap looks like it’s made from stamped steel.

I have an APCO filler. It has a hinged lid.
