Maybe these manuals will get you what you want?

This one I don't think covers what you want

While I don't have a lot of Fordson experience when I go to Boonsboro to help Jeff, his late father in law had about 12 of them plus parts in various conditions. They went with his fleet of T cars and TT trucks. He was a big time early Ford guy.
I have seen a lot of the parts and moved some of them.
While they are similar to the cars the tractor parts are bigger, bolt holes moved, thicker, and heavier!

Are you going to install it on a tractor or on a car engine?

My intention is to install the cross drive on a racer I'm building . Not running side panels on the hood. Not sure about fenders yet. Still engineering the steering. Its a work n progress.

thnx

FrontyBoy,

It's your project and your time so I am not going to tell you what to do.
I have no idea of your skills and tools you have available either.
Some time ago I was asked my opinion about the feasibility of installing a Fordson cross mag on a speedster and my advice was while it could be done it was not worth it. Too many size, fit, and mounting issues to be solved and there was the problem of getting by the car fan assembly.
I told the interested person that it was better to spend the extra $ and get a setup for the car instead.

I try hard to be clear, accurate, fair, and correct but I am not perfect.
So when you do this project please document it so we can all learn what it really takes to do it.
Anything can be done given enough time and effort, so go for it and let us know what happens.
Someone built the first few by hand so we should be able to rework it today.
Please show us how to do it and how it comes out.

If anyone has any better documentation that might help you even more.
The manuals I sent might be too general and vague for your project.
Mike

I agree with you Mike, the MATCO and Coumbo units are out there and bolt right up. They are easy to set up and I run 3 of them on cars. If I saw a Fordson cross drive on a car I would wonder why somebody put tractor parts on a speedster when accessories were made for that and they tuck right in the front, not hang out the side. If I bought a car with that it would come right off before somebody saw it.

It would be different but I don't see how it would be better. Not my project so good luck. If it works maybe everybody will want one, oh wait-everybody except me!
