Cleaning up parts on Daisy (1914 Touring), working on the front fender irons. The headlamp pickle forks are DB's, but I'm not familiar with the mark on the actual fender iron.
Anyone?

Just a guess really....

I 'think' that I see a W superimposed on a T in the top half of the forging strike...

If so, Treshue-Williams???

That was my thought...it's an over 100 year old T/W, Transu-Williams mark. Nothing extraordinary anyway.

When was the change made, from or to, a simple letter T stamped centrally over the W? that is the Transue Williams forge mark with which I am familiar.

OK, round two, the other iron.... anyone? Looks kind of similar, but stamped 90 degrees....or....???

And on that note, is there a comprehensive list of supplier marks somewhere? I tried searching and find onsie twosies, but not a list.....does one exist, maybe in a book somewhere?? Cuz I've encountered numerous markings going over my '14....

You are correct Mark, I was mixing up Chicago Forge and Foundry and Cleveland Hardware, thank you for the correction. This is a scan of the original instructions for the Cleveland Hardware accessory bed kit.

The second photo clinches it. The C over H is much clearer on that iron. Interestingly, that same mark was on components of my Canadian 1915 tourer.
I wonder just how much of the Canadian cars was actually Made in Canada.
