1924 fender to running board question

I understand that instead of a wooden block between the front fender and running board there was two "spacers". Were these essentially thick washers? And how thick were they?

Thanks

Yes the earlier fenders had a washer between the fender and the running board. In '25 the fenders were modified to have a raised area around the bolt holes, eliminating the need for the washer. R. V. Anderson makes a bolt kit for the fenders & running boards that has the correct washer included.

Just use a relatively thick 5/16" washer about the same diameter as a quarter.
