Besides HCCA, MTFCI, and MTFCA - AACA has century plaques.
AACA gives it to you when you attend one of their shows with the car, and a membership number.
You can have 4 different ones on your car if you want.

This is one of the dumbest things I can think of! If you know simple math, and the year of the car, why do you need a plaque?

My father did it so there was a record that the car and its history is on record somewhere else. I have my cars history from 1912 when I'm gone I hope it's history goes with the car. If not well at least there is a trail to follow.

The century plaque programs were started between 15 and 20 years ago when a 100 year old car at an event was a much more rare event.
It was designed to encourage the earliest cars to come out and be recognized.
Time has moved on now into years where automobile production was tremendously higher.

Some people like, want, or need to add stuff and some want bone stock cars.
Personalizing everything has been going on since before cars came along and I doubt it will ever end.
Getting a Century Plaque is up to the owner / driver for lots of reasons.
It is a modern accessory and some pile accessories on and some leave them stock.
Think of it as a memento from your cars 100th birthday party.
The best thing about it is it's not required and it does not hurt or tear up the car.

Larry... some may wish to have one, some may not, it's a matter of personal preference. The thing is most folks at cruise ins or shows don't really know what they're looking at. It's just my way to show my car some love. Wingnut
