Johnson Wood wheels???

Just saw an ad looking for wood wheels at the Duncan meet.
Got me wondering about Steve Johnson of Johnson Wood wheels in Ok. I use to get wheels from him at Chickasha. Then he just disappeared. Anyone know what happened to him? He did a great job on all his wheels, demountable and Wood felloe.

Twelve years ago when I was working on my list of wheelwrights, I tried several times to contact him but never got an answer. I'm surprised to see that his website is still up. Never able to get a reply, I dropped him from the list at that time.

He did the rear wheels on my 14 at least 10 years ago. The wheels looked too pretty to paint so I had a friend paint them for me.
I heard before Covid that he was no longer doing wheels.
