When there is smoke there must be fire.

During the rebuild of en engine last Saturday I was recharging the magnets by using the coil loop that came with the engine and was looking good.
Before I tested the coil ring by building it in serie with a 12V 21W light and a 12 battery and checking the change of polarity on each coil. No problem there.
For recharging the magnets, I use three 12V battery's in serie and flash the coil ring a few times. During this there was some smoke coming out of one coil.
Result: magneto coil ring need a rebuild!!!!
First I was thinking to replace only this coil but I found there was no insulation between the coil and the cotton warp. All the loop will come apart and will be rebuild.
