Will a gooseneck carrier fit on an earlier frame?

Post by DHort » Tue Jul 30, 2019 3:29 pm

I just tried to install a gooseneck for my spare tire on my 1920 touring. The holes in the gooseneck do not line up with the U-bolts. Since the U-bolts fit in the crossmember I cannot move them outwards. I assumed the cross members would be about the same. Should not assume things.

Any suggestions? If you did it on your car, do you have a photo or explanation as to how you did it?

Thank yo.\u.

Finally was able to see earlier responses from 2018 forum. Others have done it. Will have to try harder.
