We are currently preparing a grant application to be considered for the annual Wayne County Foundation Challenge Match.

If awarded the grant, donations made to the MTFCA and Model T Museum between November 4 and 12, 2019 will be matched, according to the Foundation guidelines.

It would be very helpful if we could include some comments from people who have visited the Museum in the past year. If you would like to comment on the progress made in various display, if you enjoyed the visitor experience, if you recommend others visiting the Museum, if you enjoy coming to Richmond — your positive comments can be included in the grant application submitted to the Foundation review board.

Please email me at susan@mtfca.com or feel free to share on this thread.

Thank you for taking time to share. Please know that your MTFCA membership and support are greatly appreciated.

I attended the annual museum homecoming again this year and again was impressed by the splendid variety of Model T Fords and memorabilia on display. One of the pleasures of repeated visits is seeing the new displays and the steady progress since my previous visits. Anybody with even the slightest interest in the Model T in all its wonderful variety should have the museum in Richmond on his bucket list.

Haven’t been to our museum since donating those block FORD driving gauntlets in 2013 but will visit this year either before or after the Covered Bridges tour....

My family and I visited the museum this year and we were very impressed. The assortment of different Model Ts is outstanding. But what I really liked was the machine shop they put together with all of the period tools.
The people running it are wonderful and friendly, as are all Model T people! Doug Keppler

I visited the museum with my wife, daughter (11), and son (8). History is always best when it’s alive. Seeing the versatility of the model t (tractor, saw, and even airplane applications) and the various body styles in person allowed the kids to appreciate the car that changed the world.

I visited the Model T Museum for the Homecoming. It is hard to put into words the changes that have taken place over the last 3 years. The Annex has gone from extra storage to a functioning Machine shop, Ford Agency show room and exhibit space. I've also attended seminars put on in the annex to learn rebuilding generators, upholstery among other such things you need to know to maintain your Model T. The volunteers should be thanked for all they do. The museum is a source of pride for me. The MTFCA is one of only a few organizations that puts it's members first. It is my opinion that anyone who has a Model T or enjoys it's history should join the MTFCA and support the Museum as well has the hobby.

Visited the Museum today on the way to the Michigan Jamboree. Justin showed us the new annex across the street, that’s the light blue building.

The new garage shop areas are just plain fun! Helped as a docent for a large family as Justin was showing others. They have a HCCT that the kids thought was real neat to see sparking coil.

My friend John and I stopped in for a visit back in May on our way home from the Portland Gas Engine Swap Meet. Enjoyed at entire museum and guest center. And as other have shared especially the replica shop display. The autos on display were fantastic as well. Best of luck in the effort to preserve the past for the future.

Personal "double take"! Just a comment or two. That red "Proto Tools" tool box in Dan T's second picture (the shop/work bench) looks identical to the one in my shop! That one looks a bit nicer, and mine is not bad. It was my Dad's well before I was born and I have been getting tools out and putting them back for as long as I can remember.

Some day, I do hope to be able to go there and spend at least a day!

Thank you Susan Y and all that made this museum possible.
