Had a guy send me pics of this front end and wheels. Ford is embossed on the axle. What wheels are these? What years was this axle used.

Preston, not sure about the years on the axle, but the spring and perches are aftermarket. I've seen a lot of wheels like those at swap meets, but don't have any idea what they were for. Obviously, the T hubs have been swapped in. Dave

The style of wheel looks like some made by the Mutual Wheel Company in Moline IL. They have been in business for over 125 years. The company's early history can also be tied to a sometime forgotten , but fascinating period in Moline's history, when the Quad City area earned the nickname, "Little Detroit". Nineteen models of motor vehicles were built in the Quad Cities prior to 1930 (Gale. Deere-Clark, Midland, Moline -Knight,etc), , and Mutual Wheel Company made wooden wheels for many of them. Still the Headquarters of Deere & Co with manufacturing facilities in the surrounding area

Are they still making wheels? I find it interesting no one has ever mentioned them.

I've seen one other set of these type wheels come thru these pages. Pics taken a few years ago at Chickasha by a fellow poster.
Just like the front wheels on the '24 here. Plymouth was a guess then but very similar to the lighter wheels in the Mutual pic.
Re-drilled to fit the T hub bolts.

How's this - you can enlarge a photo by puting the cursor over it and right clicking on it to get a menu. On the menu left click on VIEW IMAGE and then when the new image appears hold down the Ctrl key and click on t he + key several times to enlarge it use - key to reduce. To get back to the page click on the arrow <- in the upper left corner of the screen
