Glass removal

Post by Will_Vanderburg » Sat Aug 10, 2019 3:42 pm

Can someone explain, in detail, with pictures if necessary, how to remove the glass from the frames and doors of a Center Door with the latch system.

I need to replace the felt channels and I am baffled.

Thank you and thank you.

The same question has been asked about glass removal in the Coupes and 2-4 door Sedans. It usually involves removing the inside door panel, any type of window regulator and mounting boards brackets and door latches if necessary.
Once those are out then remove the door/window trim pieces. Slide the glass down so you can remove the tacks in the window channels. Slide the window up to remove the tacks at the bottom of the glass channel. The glass should come out at the lower portion of the door

If the glass and window channel was put in it will come out in reverse order.
