Can anyone identify this nos aftermarket radiator close to a Model T but taller
I just got this radiator in it is nos from a very old aftermarket
customer who had this says he had owned it since the 50's and he got it from a farmer
pictures not the best because its sitting on a white pad very clean
the neck and shape of the tank are different as well is the inlet and outlet
very similar to a T
measures about an inch taller than a high radiator and about one and a half inches narrower
23 3/8 tall from top of tank to bottom of tank
18 7/8 wide
notice the stamped mounting plates and where the overflow tube is mounted
any help appreciated, Bob

Totally WAG, coming from a farmer, I bet it's for a tractor...

The stock radiator on my 25 is just under 24" top to bottom. So 23-3/8 would be just a little short but not enough to worry about.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Hi Bob,
No, it is not a Metz radiator, well, it is not for the Model 22 or the Model 25. I can't speak to the later 6 cylinder cars, but I doubt that it would fit.
Could it be intended to be used with one of the period aftermarket speedster kits with a higher radiator shell?

Please read my post. It is just a about the same or just little shorter then a stock T high radiator. Not including the neck, from the bottom to top.

Bob, What is the measurement between the mounting points to the car frame ? Per your measurements the core is 18 7/8" wide, a stock Model T uses 21 1/2" wide between mounting points. It looks like it could be close to stock T width, if so, maybe it fits a custom speedster body of unknown to me make.

Re: Can anyone identify this nos aftermarket radiator close to a Model T but taller
The radiator looks like a tractor radiator from the 40’s and 50’s. Not for sure but tractors in that era had radiators similar to a T. But also it could be for a car in that era. Try a high T radiator shell and see how it fits. Then you would know for sure. Maybe the rubber pads are used for spacers to raise it up besides used for cushioning.

No guesses but not many tractors had the hood rod down the center.

Pictures from the 2016 forum of what is thought to be a Morton Brett radiator. Notice that the radiator core construction is similar to this radiator.
