I am trying to track down an article that Larry Smith wrote on Model T tools. I am guessing that it is the article on 1912-1913 tools which the index labels as 33-3-36 (Volume 33, Issue 3, page 36). I was wondering if it would be possible to get a scan of this article?

In the past, I have inquired with both the MTFCA and the MTFCI about sharing newsletter articles, both were fine with it.

When asked, the AACA and HCCA were both opposed to the copying or sharing of their newsletter material.

E-mail sent. Hope it gets there.
I'm not sure if there are rules for this or not. I wouldn't feel comfortable posting scans on the forum without contacting the editor. Both MTFCA and VMCCA have allowed me to do this but I hate bothering the editors.

Yeah, the Single Cylinder Cadillac Registry is the same way with their newsletters. They would rather they don't get sent around for free. A couple of folks have the entire collection digitized since the current officers don't have all of the back issues, even though they want to charge for copies of what they do have. I don't know. I can see both sides of the argument, but when it comes down to potentially losing knowledge that has been acquired and written up just because an organization would like to try to make $3 or $4 here or there, I have no problem sharing the information. I probably wouldn't post it on a forum or website, but if an individual wants a specific article or newsletter, I tend to just go ahead and share it. I certainly appreciate the efforts.

Nothing in my email inbox yet, but if it was a large file, it may take a little while. I'll keep my eyes open for it and check my spam folder too. Thanks!

Until you ask yourself what the author's rights are...
And then you realize that submission of the article places them into the same situationa as any reader...

So the author of the article suggested I find a copy of the article.

I could spend the next year searching for specific details on specific tools that were offered in 1913 or 1914. I could spend hours upon hours going through old forum posts (I have already spent several hours) and filtering through debates on correct tools or filtering through details on tools for later cars, or earlier cars. Or I can just get one article the details exactly what it is I’m looking for. The old parts catalog illustrations which I have,don’t necessarily cover specific details or things to look for. I am assuming Larry’s article does.
