Request for Info about Ford Script Model G Horn Bell
I have a Ford G stamped Horn bell that is 8" long with a 3" open end and 4 3/8 inside front base diameter. I have this bell and would like to find the appropriate base mechanism to complete this item.

Re: Request for Info about Ford Script Model G Horn Bell
Dan,
It looks like the photo you attached - Bell and front face plate only. I don't know how to determine the difference between each type. I plan to go out to the shop later this morning and attempt to photo the horn bell and Ford G stamp on the face plate. I will post them so you can see what I have.
Thanks for the reply. I should have included photos at the start - sorry. I promise not to do this again until next time.
My best to Ms. Julia,
Dom

That bell of yours, which is in good shape, is for the electric Ford horn, '22-'25 and '26-'27 with the side mount bracket.
Would be easier to find a good working Ford elec horn that has a crumpled bell, and use yours to make a good horn!
If you find parts, they likely will be removed for reasons and those are normally because the coils are bad, contacts worn, or rusted diaphragm.
Many of these electric Ford horns were made by "G" but don't know the company name, "Ames" is another supplier. There may be more.

I have several of them. I believe G is the company that made them. If all you need is the back cover, Sam Bonar in Kentucky makes them.

Dan,
Thanks for the reply. Your suggestion about finding a horn with a crushed bell sounds like a good idea.
Greg,
You should have a PM waiting for you with my contact info if I did it right. It was my first attempt on the new forum so it may end up in China.
Have a great day guys and thanks again,
Dom
