Its been a year!

In 2 weeks it will be a year since the last time my T ran. My valves led themselves to a slow death and ended up giving me no compression on 3 cylinders. One thing I learned with this car is to take things slow. So I slowly started the rebuilding process. I had to ream out the rearmost valve guide which meant removing the engine or the firewall, I chose the firewall. Got the valve guide reamed, cut all new seats and installed new valves and springs. Buttoned everthing up and she started right up. Sounded great except for an exhaust leak at the back port. So I ordered up some new gaskets and will try again. The last time she drove down the road was for the local parade, hoping to have it run again this year.

Don't give up, you can get her going again. Glad to see your brining in a younger generation.

Very satisfying to finsh that job in car. I did the same thing this spring. Mine starts easier and has more power than it has since its been in my care. Now its time you enjoy some seat time. Dont forget to take the help!

Today I changed the oil and put the new manifold gaskets in. I went with the individual gaskets for the first time, those are way easier to install. Car fired right up and purred like a kitten. I then started off on the road to put some miles under it. I probably put on 50-75 miles chasing around today. I picked up "the help" from his first day of school! He was so excited to see the T. Then we went for a sunset cruise. Tomorrow I'll take her to work and hopefully start daily driving it again.

The good and the bad.

My old boss found this hat at the local Country Club. Club opened in 1924, he just had to buy it for me.

Then I close the door to go for a drive and the driver window cracks from bottom to top. Ugh!
