Met FJ
I had the honor of meeting FJ today when we rendezvoused so he could load up the speedster for the trip to Chicago. That car is going to a nice lady who has dreamed of owning a T for more than the last 20 years. She is really excited, preparing to join clubs and take driving lessons... just the sort the club needs!
FJ said he saved a half hour of loading time when I drove the car into his van.
Now you see why that speedster no longer shows on my forum signature.
FJ honors his friends by shortening their names to initials. I hope I have earned my TH!

Re: Met FJ
Thanks Terry! That should shut the notion that FJ is a non human!
He let you post a pic of him?
Cool.
Ehh hem, now we almost know what you may look like FJ.
Hehehe! I can't see spit.

Re: Met FJ
Dick,
I always know when I'm talking to Terrie, if I'm talking to Terry then I'm talking to myself. If my hearing aids are off can I even hear when I'm talking to myself? Terrie is the Horlick with the higher voice and more pleasing visage.
Duane,
FJ didn't let me post the photo, I failed to ask. He was busy with the ramps and couldn't stop me from taking a photo.
FJ is a great guy, very helpful, generous and friendly. He didn't seem to mind my quickly running off from our meeting to go spend the afternoon soaring in a sailplane above the forest in sight of Lake Tahoe... EXCELLENT DAY!

Freighter Jim delivered a 1915 touring to me on Sunday. We had a good time, and Freighter even took our group to breakfast. Thanks Jim.

Great Long Weekend
It was a great long holiday weekend for me ....
Sunday morning began at 3:30 am in Barstow, CA
when I left to meet Larry at KD’s house to
drop off a 1915 Model T Touring Project that belonged to Ken Jones ( Kim’s cousin ).
This - is the Model T that started Kim Dobbins
down the path of no return all those years ago when he would clean it for Ken ...

I met Larry a few years ago - he is always helping out Kim - now he has a new project
After the rollback unloaded at his house - LS met up with KD and Steve & Frank ( KD’s great in laws ) for breakfast- which was just plain fun ...
Then I was off to Wrightwood to pick up a 1923

As it turns out - Vince was in line behind me on Thursday waiting to get to set up at Bakersfield Swap Meet this past April ...

Long Weekend
After picking up in Wrightwood - I headed to Mojave for literally just a few hours sleep at my favorite motel ....
I left Mojave at 2:00 am for Gilroy Monday morning to meet Joel and drop off the 1923 Model T Roadster he had sold to Vince several years ago.
Out of the few cars he had owned & really liked in his life - this T was so special to Joel that he asked Vince to call him for a chance to buy it back to him if he ever wanted to sell it ...
What made it even better - Joel also drives a Ford Truck to pull his trailer ....

Long Weekend
TH was kind enough to meet me at the Dutch Flat exit off I-80 to hand off the Model T Speedster he had sold ...
I actually saw him get on the freeway off the Colfax entrance ramp - perfect timing ...
We couldn’t visit long - he had an appointment - but he drove the Speedster into the trailer to help me out ...
I headed over the mountain & spent the night in Reno, NV.
Out of all the vehicles I transport - my favorite group has always been Model T owners ...
Hands Down the most interesting group of vehicle owners ...
I have made so many friends in my travels - when everything is said and done - Friendship is the most valuable currency ...
Thank You ...

Re: Met FJ
I was very pleased with the service I received from Direct Enclosed Auto Haulers. Their timely availability was a key element in making my most recent purchase a reality.
They were flexible with my schedule, timely in their delivery, and reasonably priced. I would recommend them to any fellow antique car hobbyist.

Re: Met FJ
I was very pleased by Freighter Jim with the delivery of our '27 Touring from FL to AZ. He transported the car with care and delivered it flawlessly. The extra thing is he took several pictures and videos of the loading and unloading which I really appreciate as I couldn't be there to see it all for myself.
Thanks again, Jim!
