Anyone ever successfully modify 1928-29 21” Model A hub caps to fit on Model T wire wheels?

Hi Mark,
A few years back I posted a question relating to your question. I asked if anyone had a stock set of 1927 T wire wheels that used a Model A style hubcap. I received responses from four or five T owners that had similar wheels but they thought that they were just larger diameter with no hubcaps. My caps were AR style but the wire wheels were stock '27 T style. The typical '26/'27 hubcap would fall right through my wheel hubcap opening. All 5 of my wheels have a 2-3/4" opening for the hubcaps and I believe that a stock hubcap is around 2-1/2" in diameter. There was quite a discussion regarding my wheels, and some called me out, but when others came forward and had similar wheel openings it makes me wonder if these were late production wheels. Very hard to document. To answer your question however, yes in could be machined or bored out. I would not torch cut it however. Good luck.

Thanks for the help.
I am NOT modifying the T wheels.
Just curious if the larger Model A cap could be made to fit the smaller opening in the T wheels.
