A very nice article especially for a novice or person who does not understand the operation of the Model T. Very nice pictures of a sharp car also. Thank You for posting!

Is it my eyes or photo distortion ?? On 13 front pic looks like the axle is curved.

George,....I agree,....it does look strange! Also, when I first looked at that same photo, something didn't look right to me either, and I still haven't figured it out! Like you say George, might just be "my eyes", but just inside the transverse spring, it looks like there is some sort of crescent-shaped sheet metal panel that conforms to the arch of the spring! (???)

Harold, I couldn't figure out the "crescent shaped panel" either for a minute, but after looking at it for awhile, I figured out it is just the pavement showing under the car. Look to the left and front of the axle on the ground, there is the same pattern. As for the axle, it does look to have a bend in it. It could be a '26-'27 axle, they had a slight downward curve to them. Dave

You know, that really IS a good article! The author was very careful to explain operation in detail for someone who has probably never even SEEN a T, let alone know how to start and drive it. Well done. Thanks for posting.
I remember reading somewhere......maybe here......about a potential T buyer asking questions of the owner. His last question was a pip....."Can you send me the CarFax on it?" On a 1920's vehicle?!? That's how spoiled (or naive) people have become I guess.

David S. - Yup! I see it your way now! Guess it "WAS" just my eyes! Now I realize that what I saw as the straight bottom edge of what I saw as a sheet metal panel is actually the tie rod! Weird! Thanks David,....harold
